Winton Motor Raceway came alive for the Winton 300, delivering another action-packed weekend of endurance racing, and Colson Photography was there to capture the excitement, competition and memorable moments on track.
This one is pretty special. After coming so close to winning last years VPW Winton 300 and Wakefield 300, brothers Aaron and Matthew Guintini have finally done it.
After starting 3rd for the race, the Class B giant killing A & M Racing / Truckline | Honda Civic won the event by 91 seconds over the 2nd place BMW M3 of Drew Russell / Peter Lawrence and 3rd place David Krusza / Marcus Rummler in a Class C Toyota 86.
The result is a fantastic reward for the Guintini brothers after their near misses in previous endurance events. Their Honda Civic proved that determination, consistency and smart racing can go a long way against some much more powerful machinery.
For Colson Photography, the Winton 300 was another opportunity to capture the intensity of grassroots motorsport and the personalities behind the cars. From the opening laps to the chequered flag, the event provided plenty of fast-paced racing, dramatic moments and memorable images.
